Amazon has released the Fire TV gadget in India, which has hands-free Alexa voice control. The Fire TV Cube includes built-in far-field voice control, allowing users to operate their entertainment system, including compatible TV, soundbar, A/V receiver, cable, and certain set-top boxes, with only their voice. The streaming device’s ultra-powerful hexa-core CPU allows for a quick and smooth experience, with instant access to Dolby Vision and 4K Ultra HD video at up to 60 frames per second.
Users of the Fire TV Cube will also be able to enjoy Dolby Vision, HDR, and HDR 10+, as well as the aural clarity of Dolby Atmos. Users will be able to tune into live TV channels via cable or set-top box providers, in addition to streaming content from services such as Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+ Hotstar.
The Fire TV Cube’s far-field speech recognition employs eight microphones and sophisticated beamforming technology to ensure that Alexa clearly hears a user’s request when placed near to their TV. Users may just say, “Alexa, turn on the TV,” “Alexa, open Netflix,” or “Alexa, locate music videos on YouTube.”
To manage a user’s entertainment system as well as other smart home devices, the Fire TV Cube employs multi-directional infrared technology, cloud-based protocols, and HDMI CEC in conjunction with Alexa. Furthermore, users may use the built-in speaker to dim the lights, check the weather, and listen to the news even when the TV is turned off.
The Fire TV Cube comes with an Ethernet adaptor, Alexa Voice Remote, and an IR extension cable and is priced at Rs. 12,999 on Amazon’s online store as well as certain Croma and Reliance shops in India.
