Lots of efforts are being made to reduce tension between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. But China is not dissuaded by its antics. On Friday, a Chinese soldier infiltrated the Indian border. Indian soldiers posted on the spot took him into confinement. In mid-October last year, a Chinese soldier was arrested for infiltrating the Indian border.

Pangong Tso Lake Area incident:
According to the Indian Army, on 8 January Friday, a Chinese soldier was taken into custody after entering the Indian fringe. The incident is from the southern part of Pangong Tso Lake. This soldier of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was spotted by the Indian soldiers stationed in that area.
As informed by the Indian army, troops of India and China are deployed on both sides of the LAC. Following the fierce clashes on 15 June last year, both nations have increased military deployment here. It is being determined under what circumstances this soldier infiltrated the Indian border.
Information about the detention of the Chinese soldier has been given to his officers by the Indian army. The Indian army and the Chinese army are in touch about this. This is the second time after October when a PLA soldier infiltrated the Indian border. A Chinese soldier was restrained in the Demchok sector in October. On October 21, 2020, he was handed over back to the Chinese army at the Chushul-Moldo meeting point. He was in the custody of the Indian Army for two days.
