The caller tune before the phone calls is going to change from Friday, 15th January 2021.

Amitabh Bachchan‘s voice will no longer appear in the caller tune. The new caller tune will be in a female’s voice, stating the importance of getting vaccinated and all the other information related to the vaccination process.

In recent days, people started showing their disagreement with the old caller tune, listing all the safety measures related to the pandemic.  Because every time a call was made by someone, several complaints about being forced to listen to the safety measures were coming up.

A PIL was also filed by a Delhi resident and social Worker in the Delhi High Court against this caller tune requesting to remove the caller tune with Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s voice preaching precautions against the Coronavirus. The petition stated that he and some of his family members got infected with the Coronavirus, then how is he acknowledged to give safety measures!

The plea came up for hearing on Thursday 14th, January 2021, before the bench, of chief justice D. N. Patel and justice Jyoti Singh.

The bench rescheduled it for 18th January 2021, as the petitioner’s counsel displayed the inability to appear for a physical hearing.

The new caller tune states, “The new year has brought us a new light of hope in the form of COVID vaccines. Vaccines developed in India are effective, safe, and will provide immunity.

This message will appeal to the citizens and help everyone to trust the Indian vaccines rather than believing the rumours. It will also urge people to continue the covid-19 precautions, even though the vaccination process has started. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new slogan “Dawai Bhi aur Kadai Bhi” has also been included in the new caller tune.

As soon as the news broke out, people also started sharing memes regarding the matter on social media platforms.
