Sidharth Malhotra is the leading actor in Shershaah, (the biopic of Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) who’s secret code during the Kargil war was Shershaah).
Shershaah is scheduled to release on July 2nd, 2021. The film (also starring Kiara Advani) has been directed by Tamilian director Vishnu Varadhan. Vishnu Vardhan is known for his films like Arinthum, Pattiyal, Ariyalum, and Billa.
Sidharth Malhotra, on Saturday 20th, 2021, shared on Twitter two posters of the film, writing, “The untold true story of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) is all settled to unravel on the big screens. #Shershaah releasing in theatres near you on 2nd July 2021“.
The real ‘Shershaah’!
Shershaah is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, which has backed most of Sidharth Malhotra’s projects since his debut in the year 2012.
Shershah has been written by Sandeep Shrivastava.
Earlier, Shershah was to be released in July 2020 but had to be postponed owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
Shershaah would be Sidharth Malhotra’s one of the biggest releases yet, in terms of popularity and script story. At the time of the film’s announcement in the year 2018, Siddhart said, “Vikram Batra’s living story will inspire you and bring a grin on your face. I am very much excited to play the character of Shershah”.
Besides Shershaah, Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming movies are Mission Majnu in which he will be seen with Rashmika Mandanna. While Kiara Advani’s upcoming movies include Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
